Whew, I ended up pulling all-nighter last night in order to finish my illustration finals, and I’m writing this fighting back sleep knowing full well I still got a lot to do today. I’m really proud of these piece actually, I’d go so far as to say they are some of the best illustrations I’ve done yet, which is a really nice way to end things. Each of these was an experiment in various formal issues: color, composition, design. I’m especially proud about the color. Just last semester I was horrendous at color, easily the weakest part of all my work. However I kept messing around trying find things that worked, and got this. Now I can proudly say I am not incompetent with color, a significant step forward. Okay well I’m going to take a shower, and then see if I can finally finish this art history paper today, it’s already 4 days late.
