I haven’t posted any of the art I’ve been doing recently, mainly because it’s been sort of lacking in quality as I figured out what exactly it is I’m doing, but here’s a piece I just finished. Basically we were supposed to make an illustration for the OWS movement. I’ve kind of taken a step back from the cardboard and started working with painted paper. It definitely has a higher quality of finish to it.

one of my illustration classes took a trip to see the Baltimore Orchestra rehearse. We were able to make full use of the theatre room/symphony hall…I’m blanking on what you call it right now. Anyway, it was a great expereince especially for drawing. It really brought me back to my time at boarding school. We had regular student shows by the music students nearly every week. It was always a great source of inspiration to hear these really wonderful pieces of music.

here some figure drawing I’ve been doing lately. Been experimenting a lot more on how to take in the figure. The first and last one really seemed to hit on something I like. The first is the most recent drawing, which ended up looking vaguely like a Matisse. It’s now something I’m playing around with in my sketch book.
